Primo Water Corporation Recognized for Outstanding Business Achievements by Microsoft
Company earns Microsoft Dynamics Award of Excellence in Innovation
Winston-Salem, NC (March 23, 2009). Primo Water Corporation was recognized by Microsoft with a 2009 Microsoft Dynamics Award of Excellence in Innovation for their notable accomplishments using Dynamics solutions that have created a highly automated information technology systems platform. Primo Water was the only winner in the Innovation category and one of only 11 award recipients.
"We have created an ecosystem that has brought together numerous partners from our supply chain that would not typically work together, capitalized on their strengths, and brought value to our organization," said Mick Gunter, vice president of operations. "This has allowed us to compete with well-established industry leaders on cost from day one with very little capital investment in plants and equipment."
Microsoft noted five "virtual" systems that enable Primo's business focus to be high-growth, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. They include Dynamics GP as the business foundation, mobile devices to record transactions, extensive OLAP and SQL reporting, CRM systems for customer calls and solutions, and SharePoint for data communication and interaction through web based portals. These systems have resulted in more than 10,000 posted transactions per week without human intervention, yet with real-time reporting and analysis through native business intelligence tools.
