Memorial Day Jell-O Mini Trifles Dessert Recipe

Memorial Day Red, White & Blue Mini Trifles Recipe

Estimated time: 20 minutes to prepare, 3 hours to cool

3 oz berry blue Jell-O
3 oz raspberry Jell-O
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
16 oz sour cream
6 tbsp sugar
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 cup fresh blueberries
1 cup fresh raspberries
Whipped cream
2 cups boiling Primo water, divided
2 ½ cups cold Primo water

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Bring 1 cup of Primo water to a boil in a saucepan.
  2. Stir in the berry blue Jell-O until completely dissolved.
  3. Add 1 cup of cold Primo water to the Jell-O solution and stir to combine.
  4. Add blueberries.
  5. Divide and pour into small glass dishes or plastic cups. Put in the refrigerator to set, about 1 hour.
  6. In a saucepan, add the envelope of unflavored gelatin to ½ cup of cold Primo water. Stir until thoroughly combined and dissolved.
  7. Add heavy whipping cream, sour cream and sugar. Stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved and all ingredients are combined.
  8. Divide and pour mixture carefully and slowly over the set-up blue Jell-O layer in each dish. Return dishes to the refrigerator for the white layer to set, about 1 hour.
  9. Bring 1 cup of Primo water to a boil in a saucepan.
  10. Stir in the raspberry Jell-O until completely dissolved.
  11. Add 1 cup of cold Primo water to the Jell-O solution and stir to combine.
  12. Add raspberries.
  13. Divide and pour mixture carefully and slowly over the set-up white layer in each dish. Return dishes to the refrigerator and allow the red layer to set, about 1 hour.
  14. Once the trifle layers have set, top each trifle with whipped cream and additional berries as desired.
